Canadians continue to watch FIFA World Cup coverage in record numbers.
As Canada’s Men’s National team advances for the first time, Wednesday’s match attracted an average audience of 4.1 million viewers across TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo and Crave, making it the third most-watched FIFA World Cup Group Stage match ever – an increase of 147% compared to Canada’s third match of the 2022 tournament.
Overall, 10.1 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in to some part of the match, up 98% compared to the same game in 2022. Audiences peaked with 6 million viewers at 4:55 p.m. ET as Canada looked for the equalizer late in the game. Streaming audiences were more than triple that of Canada’s third match in 2022.

Bell Media says since the start of the tournament on June 11, 24.9 million unique viewers have tuned in to watch FIFA World Cup coverage on its channels (61% of the population).
Non-Canada matches also continue to gain momentum, attracting an average audience of 1 million viewers, up 65% compared to the 2022 Group Stage.
Canadians have consumed 165.9 million hours of FIFA World Cup content, nearly double that of the 2022 Group Stage, garnering more than 10 million impressions on June 24-25 alone, on TSN social media accounts and the TSN YouTube channel.
The Canadian Men’s National Team next faces South Africa on Sunday, June 28 at Los Angeles Stadium, airing across TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, with pre-match coverage beginning at noon ET.
