General Sales Manager
Kamloops Division
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with strong leadership skills to lead our high-performance sales team in the Kamloops-Merritt markets. This position oversees our 2 markets located in Kamloops and Merritt and will be based in Kamloops. This role goes beyond driving revenue—it’s about mentoring a team, building lasting client relationships, and positioning Pattison Media as the leading partner to serve our local radio, TV and digital clients in a highly competitive, multi-market, multi-product
division.
This position dual reports to the Director of Non-Metro Sales and the Kamloops General Manager.
Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed performance goals.
• Maximize advertising revenue on radio, TV and digital platforms, while managing key accounts and long-term relationships.
• Establish local sales budgets in conjunction with Director of Sales, Non-Metro markets and General Manager.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the sales team. Drive accountability within the team to ensure consistent delivery on goals and client expectations.
• Identify opportunities for team members to grow professionally and provide ongoing coaching and training.
• Develop and implement a rolling 12-month business plan to achieve quarterly and annual budget goals.
• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with programming, traffic, creative, production, promotions, digital and financial departments
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a broadcast media sales leadership role, plus minimum 5 years of related experience in a sales position.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and lead high-performing sales teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms, sales analytics, and other relevant tools.
• Experience selling local digital media.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and authorized to work in Canada.
