Numeris launches publicly-available ‘OneLook’ video viewing dataset

Numeris has launched OneLook, a new publicly-available dataset that provides a topline view of video viewing behaviour across Canada.

Based on Numeris’ National VAM (Video Audience Measurement) data, which was introduced cross-country last fall, OneLook offers a snapshot of total video viewing across broadcast and streaming, shifts in viewing behaviours over time, and how video viewing is distributed across categories and devices.

“OneLook is about accessibility and clarity. By making a topline view of video viewing available to everyone, we’re helping foster a shared understanding of how audiences in Canada are watching video today.,” said Catherine Malo, SVP, Client Strategy & Solutions, Marketing & Communications, in a Numeris announcement.

The initial dataset reveals that streaming accounted for 37.3% of video views in the month of February, followed by specialty TV (32.9%) and conventional TV (29.8%). By device, 78.9% of viewing happened on a TV, followed by mobile (11.2%), and computer (7.1%).

Numeris says the dataset will be updated monthly, providing “a consistent, authoritative view of video viewing in Canada—supporting informed conversations, sharper context, and greater confidence across the industry.”

“The launch of OneLook reflects Numeris’ commitment to transparency and to supporting a well-informed marketplace by making trusted audience insights more widely available,” the agency noted.
