Anthem Sports & Entertainment has announced an internal shuffle as it officially takes ownership of Hollywood Suite’s movie channels.
Originally announced last September, the CRTC approved the $49.5 million transaction last week. Controlled by Leonard Asper, who serves as President & CEO of Denver-based Anthem Sports & Entertainment, Hollywood Suite’s four movie channels join Anthem properties like GameTV, Fight Network, and AXS TV.

David Kines, President & Co-Founder of Hollywood Suite, now takes on the role of President, Anthem Entertainment Canada. The moves also see Carol McDaniel, Anthem’s Senior Vice-President of Operations, step down after three years in her current role and 16 with AXS TV.
In an internal memo provided to Broadcast Dialogue, Kines told staff that with “the continuing evolution of Anthem’s technical and operational needs, we are taking the opportunity to optimize the organization and management of our operations and technology departments.”
Quincy Raby, Vice-President of Operations, will expand her role to encompass Anthem’s Master Control (MCR) and Production Operations in Toronto. In addition, she’ll continue to oversee Tax Credit planning and administration for Hollywood Suite’s in-house productions, accessibility initiatives, and Hollywood Suite’s On-Air Operations (operated by Encompass Digital Media in Atlanta). Raby joined Hollywood Suite in 2018 and currently oversees all operations for the business.
Anthem veteran Tyler Warman, Director of MCR Operations & Post-Production, will also expand his role to include day-to-day management of Anthem’s Master Control (MCR), as well as continue to oversee the editing teams for on-air programming and production at Fight Network and Game+.
Raby will support Warman, who in turn will provide support to MCR Manager Jeremy Davis and the team playing out all the broadcast channels from Anthem’s Toronto headquarters, as well as the editing teams for on-air programming and production at Fight Network and Game+.
Additionally, Raby will oversee Digital Asset Manager Drew Campbell, who in turn will support Lenny Young, Media Manager (Denver); and Lowell Dean, Manager, Closed Captioning and Described Video.
Kines will support Director of Engineering & Technology Ryan Barnes; Jim Bucks, Director IT (Denver); along with Daniel Cox, IT Administrator (Denver); and Mike Grossi, Sr. Director of Traffic.
