Edmonton’s CFCW leads 2025 CCMA radio nominations

The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) has unveiled the official nominees for the 2025 CCMA Awards.

Leading this year’s artist nominations with six nods each are Josh Ross (Fans’ Choice Award, Male Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Video of the Year, Single of the Year, Musical Collaboration of the Year) and Cameron Whitcomb (Fans’ Choice Award, Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year, Single of the Year), while Brett Kissel (Fans’ Choice Award, Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Single of the Year) and Owen Riegling (Fans’ Choice Award, Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year, Single of the Year) go into the awards with five nods apiece.

Edmonton’s CFCW goes into the awards with three nominations, including Radio Station of the Year (Large Market), Country Music Program or Special of the Year for Heartstrings & Honky Tonks and a Country Personalities of the Year nod for morning show duo Dan Davidson and Stella Stevens.

Pure Country 106 (CICX-FM) Orillia earned two nominations – Radio Station of the Year, Medium or Small Market, and Country Personality of the Year for station personality Jason McCoy. The syndicated Pure Country Top 50 Countdown also received a nomination.
