Caroline Jamet named president of Cogeco Media

Caroline Jamet will assume the role of President of Cogeco Media, effective Feb. 3.

Jamet arrives from Radio-Canada, where she served as Executive Director of French Radio, Audio, and Greater Montreal. Prior to joining the public broadcaster in 2017, she held executive roles at La Presse, TVA International and L’Équipe Spectra.

“Caroline’s breadth of experience and engaging leadership will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and grow Cogeco Media,” said Frédéric Perron, President and CEO of Cogeco, in an announcement. “Her strategic vision, digital transformation experience, and deep understanding of the media landscape will be invaluable assets in ensuring and maintaining our ongoing success..”

“With its presence across Quebec and its great reputation, it is a privilege to join Cogeco Media,” added Jamet. “I look forward to engaging with the team and continuing this work of showcasing quality content produced by renowned artisans.”

Jamet takes on the role formerly assigned to Montreal radio veteran Martin Spalding in late August, before the appointment was abruptly cancelled. Spalding was to set to take over from Caroline Paquetwho had held the role since July 2021 and parted ways with the company over the summer.
