ZoomerMedia has announced a number of promotions in its radio division, following the exit of longtime programmer Paul Thomas to Corus Entertainment.
Thomas, who served as General Manager and Program Director for The New Classical FM (CFMZ-FM) and Zoomer Radio (CFZM-AM), assumed the role of Toronto Program Director for FM radio at Corus earlier this month, overseeing programming for Q107 (CILQ-FM) and 102.1 the Edge (CFNY-FM).

Mark Wigmore has been promoted to Program Director for The New Classical FM stations in Toronto, Eastern Ontario and Southern Georgian Bay. Wigmore, who is celebrating 30 years in radio, has been hosting The New Classical FM’s weekday afternoon drive program for the last six years, in addition to Saturday afternoon’s Top 20 Album Countdown & Pop Classics.

Kathleen Kajioka has been promoted to Music Director of The New Classical FM. On-air since 2007 and co-music director since 2016, she is the host of A Little Night Music, Dinner Classics, Sunday Night at the TSO, and Sunday morning show, Zero To 1800. A concert violist, Kajioka is also host of VisionTV’s The Concert Series.
At Zoomer Radio, Andy Wilson has been promoted to Program Director. Wilson has been with the station’s morning show, The Morning Zoom, as Producer since 2021 and was promoted last year to co-host, alongside Associate News Director and Anchor Jane Brown.
Dan Hamilton, ZoomerMedia Chief Revenue Officer, will resume his role as General Manager for both The New Classical FM and Zoomer Radio.
