RTDNA Canada recognized the winners of the 2019 Prairie Region RTDNA Awards of Excellence on Saturday in Saskatoon. RTDNA Canada Awards honour the best journalists, programs, stations and news gathering organizations in radio, television and digital.
CBC Manitoba claimed the Best TV Newscast (Large Market) honour, while the Small/Medium Market award went to CBC Saskatchewan for its Humboldt Crash coverage. Corus’ 680 CJOB won Best Radio Newscast (Large Market), with 650 CKOM Saskatoon taking the Small Market honour. CBC Saskatchewan claimed the Best Podcast Award for Boushie.
