New roles for Moses, Johnston, Cluett in Bell Media executive shakeup

Stewart Johnston is moving into the role of Senior VP, Content and Sales at Bell Media as part of an executive shakeup that sees Karine Moses join Bell’s Consumer and SMB (Small & Medium business) division.

Karine Moses

With Bell Media for the last eight years, Moses most recently held the title of Senior VP, Content Development and News. She assumes the role of Senior VP, SMB and Internet Companies Group (ICG) supported by Blaik Kirby, Group President, Consumer and SMB, in addition to retaining her executive role as Vice Chair, Québec.

In her new role, the company says she’ll focus on driving SMB results and improving client experience, while also providing leadership for Bell’s overall performance in Québec. She’ll now support Darcy Richard, VP, Small and Medium Business; JoAnne Karan, Director, Marketing, ICG (Internet Companies Group); Sophie Lamontagne, GM, Subsidiary; and Andrew Day, Chief Operating Officer, ICG.

Kevin Cluett moves from Consumer and SMB to Bell Media where he’ll take on the role of Senior VP of Distribution, Out of Home (OOH) and Direct to Consumer, supported by Bell Media President Sean Cohan. Cluett will oversee subscriber and distribution revenue growth across video, audio, digital and OOH platforms and lead all distribution dealmaking for Bell. In his new role, he’ll support Jean-Philippe Paradis, VP, Subscription Sales, Distribution & Business Intelligence, responsible for distribution, traffic, OOH and Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix promoter Octane Racing Group; and Steven Cummings, Director, Bell TV Content, responsible for Bell TV content deals and partnerships.

Stewart Johnston

Stewart Johnston becomes SVP, Content and Sales, expanding his current role to oversee content creation and delivery for all Bell Media English- and French-language video, audio, and digital platforms across Canada, including local and national news programming. Johnston has held the title of SVP of Sales and Sports for the last three and a half years and will retain oversight of all sports content nationally across TSN, RDS and other Bell Media channels, while  continuing to oversee advertising sales.

Johnston will now support Dave Daigle, VP, Local TV, Radio and Bell Media Studios; Justin Stockman, VP, Content Development and Programming; Suzane Landry, VP, Content Development, Programming and News; Richard Gray, VP, News; Shawn Redmond, VP, Sports (TSN & RDS); and Perry MacDonald, VP, Advertising Sales and Partnerships.

Jan Kestle, founder and President of Bell affiliate Environics Analytics (EA), will now report directly to Cohan. Nauby Jacob, Senior VP of Product Platforms (Bell Media) and Consumer Products (Consumer and SMB), will continue in his current role, supporting digital transformation, leading product and tech development and improving customer experience for products like Bell TV, Crave, mobile 5G, and supporting ad sales with innovations like Addressable TV and Strategic Audience Management (SAM) tools.
