Nabil Karim headed to ESPN

Former TSN anchor/reporter Nabil Karim has announced he's joining ESPN.

Nabil Karim is trading Sportscentre for Sportscenter.

The former TSN anchor and reporter has revealed on social media that he’s joining ESPN.

“It may take a minute, but I better get used to spelling @sportscenter with “ER” now, because I’ve joined @espn!,” Karim announced on Twitter Friday. “I’m so jacked about this opportunity. Honestly, I feel so fortunate and blessed. I can’t wait to start this new exciting chapter of my career with my family by my side in Connecticut.” 

Karim, who hails from Burnaby, BC, had been with TSN since 2011 after relocating to Toronto from the West Coast. A mainstay on Sportscentre, he also has reported for NHL on TSN and acted as an occasional host for the NBA on TSN. Prior to joining the network, he was with CBC where he was a sports anchor for CBC News and hosted Hockey Night in Canada OnlineThe BCIT graduate has also done work for FOX, CKPG-TV, Global, Sportsnet and CKNW 980 Vancouver.

Karim parted ways with TSN in March.
