KiSS Vancouver parts ways with Kevin Lim & Sonia Sidhu

KiSS Radio (CKKS-FM) Vancouver has parted ways with morning show co-hosts and KiSS network personalities Kevin Lim and Sonia Sidhu.

Lim and Sidhu announced the news on Twitter this morning, writing that the duo’s five years with the station had come to an end.

“KiSS is changing and unfortunately we were informed that we won’t be part of this new chapter. Although this comes with mixed emotions, we want to express one overwhelming feeling: gratitude,” reads their statement.

Lim and Sidhu went on to thank the listeners, Rogers Sports & Media management team, show producer Jordan Daniels, and others working behind-the-scenes.

“While we aren’t sure what’s next for us, we are grateful for you all. This isn’t waking up a from a dream. It’s starting a new one. And this isn’t goodbye either…it’s see you later.”

The longtime morning show team had also been heard Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings on KiSS 92.5 (CKIS-FM) Toronto, since this past February, in addition to other KiSS markets. The on-air duo have been together since 2011 through stints on Kelowna’s 99.9 Sun FM (CHSU-FM); Vancouver’s 102.7 The Peak (CJPK-FM) and Q103.1 (CKQQ-FM) Kelowna. They joined KiSS in January 2017.

Rogers Sports & Media provided a written statement to Broadcast Dialogue, thanking Lim and Sidhu for their contribution over the years.

“We’re proud of the work the KiSS RADiO team has done over the years in a very competitive pop market, and we would like to thank Kevin and Sonia for their unwavering passion and contribution to the station. We will have more to share in the coming days,” wrote Alessia Staffieri, Publicist, News & Entertainment, in an email to Broadcast Dialogue.

Tara Jean Stevens, who had most recently been heard in afternoon drive on KiSS, has also announced her departure from the station.
