Summary

The search is on for the next great radio host in Brandon, Manitoba. This position is perfect for a creative, engaging individual who can prep and deliver an exceptional Afternoon Show including digital, and social strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, plan, and execute a fun, upbeat show geared towards A25-54, on Pure Country 101.
• Be socially-savvy and connect with listeners on all platforms; strong skills generating original content both on-air and across all digital platforms
• Voice commercials (radio & TV) and promos as required
• Represent our stations at public appearances, remotes, charitable and community events with integrity.
• Voice track other shows (in-market and out-of-market) when necessary
  Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Radio Broadcasting.
• Preferred 1 – 3 years experience in a similar or related position.
• Working knowledge of MusicMaster, Wide Orbit Automation, Adobe Audition and VoxPro a definite asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• You must be a team player who is positive and friendly both on the air and in the workplace. Must demonstrate ability to organize materials, meet deadlines, and work accurately
• Be visible; there’s lots to do in Westman & we need someone who is in touch with our local community, willing to meet every listener and able to host on-site promotions
• Valid driver’s license (clean abstract required)

Additional Requirements

• On-Air Monday – Friday 2pm to 7pm plus prep time before and after the show. Weekend work may be required. Hours subject to change based on operational requirements.
