We are looking for a Broadcast Technologist to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Directors, you will ensure our radio stations sound great on air and online.

Location: South Central SK. You should be comfortable travelling to all of our Saskatchewan centers.

Core Responsibilities: 

  •  Installation, setup, maintenance and repair of studio and transmitter equipment including:
  • Broadcast communications systems
  • High and low power AM and FM transmission
  • Point to point wireless links, both IP and analog based
  • Antenna systems
  • Remote control and monitoring hardware
  • Broadcast automation systems
  • Network infrastructure
  • Audio equipment for broadcast and production
  • Internet audio streaming technologies
  • Newsroom media content systems
  • Routine building maintenance and repairs
  • Backup power equipment including generators and UPS
  • Phone systems
  • Computers, laptops and servers
  • On call 24/7 on a rotating basis, you will receive an additional on call daily compensation
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Post-secondary training in Broadcast, IT/Electronics, Communications Technology, or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Working knowledge of transmission and reception
  • Strong IT Competencies
  • Hands-on technical experience in the IT or Broadcast industry is preferred
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal ability
  • Valid driver’s license and suitable driving record
