Global has unveiled its fall lineup, anchored by Hollywood heavyweights Dick Wolf, Cedric the Entertainer, Amy Poehler, Damon Wayans Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt, among others.
Featuring 17 hours of simulcast, the fall premiere season kicks off with two-night Season 2 premiere event of last winter’s break-out hit series 9-1-1 on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Monday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The sophomore season welcomes new team members Jennifer Love Hewitt (Criminal Minds) as Maddie, sister of Evan Buckley (Oliver Stark), who is starting her life over as a 9-1-1 operator, and Ryan Guzman (Heroes Reborn) playing a firefighter led by team captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause).
On Tuesday, Sept. 25, two highly-anticipated, new series join Global’s primetime schedule: FBI is the latest series from Emmy Award-winner Dick Wolf (Law & Order), starring Canadian Missy Peregrym, as well as new addition Sela Ward (House), following the inner workings of the FBI in New York. New Amsterdam follows at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist) and Canadian Tyler Labine (Deadbeat), the series follows a team of doctors on a mission to breathe new life into an understaffed and underfunded hospital.
Global’s new series premieres continue the following week, starting with a Monday night comedy block beginning Oct. 1 with the debut of The Neighborhood at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Happy Together at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Cedric the Entertainer as opinionated Calvin, The Neighborhood welcomes Max Greenfield (New Girl) and Beth Behrs (2 Broke Girls) as the new neighbours in a town where not everyone looks like them. That’s followed by Happy Together, starring Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West, as an ordinary suburban couple whose life is turned upside down when a new houseguest moves in.
Thursday night’s comedy block sees the return of Top 10 hit Will & Grace, premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Oct. 4. Joining Thursday night is I Feel Bad, in a special preview on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT before it moves to Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Oct. 4. Executive produced by Amy Poehler, the hilarious and relatable single-cam series follows mom Emet (Sarayu Blue) trying to navigate life while being perfectly okay with being imperfect.
Rounding out new series on the fall schedule are Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, hosted by Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle) and Jordan Fisher (Liv and Maddie).
In addition to new series, Global welcomes back Top 10 series Bull, which moves to Mondays beginning Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT; Survivor premieres Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, while the following Wednesday, Top 20 series SEAL Team joins the lineup Oct. 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
In late-night comedy, Saturday Night Live returns to Global later this fall, along with new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airing weeknights at 11:35 p.m. beginning Sept. 4.
ET Canada will also return with a new season on Sept. 4.
