Corus reinstates local morning show on Edmonton’s [email protected]

Corus Entertainment has reinstated a local morning show on [email protected] (CKNG-FM) Edmonton.

Station personality Graham Mosimann is hosting the new live and local The Morning Thing with Graham Mosimann, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. He was previously heard in afternoons and serves as the station’s Assistant Program Director.

The Adult Hits format had been airing Willy in the Morning since August 2020. Originating from Rock 101 (CFMI-FM) Vancouver, the show was also heard on Q107 (CFGQ-FM) Calgary, up until a format change away from Classic Rock last December. Prior to Willy in the Morning, [email protected] had aired syndicated Seattle morning show, Brooke & Jubal (now Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning).

Mosimann wrote in a post to X that the move is “interim for the summer…But I’m gonna work my absolute tail off to make this permanent for the fall.”

“Edmonton is an important part of the Corus family and we are long overdue for a live and local morning show on Chuck@925,” said Dustin Collins, Regional Program Director. “A station that knows Edmonton deserves a local morning show that reflects how unique the city is.”

Corus says the Willy in The Morning show aired its last broadcast on [email protected] on Aug. 2 and will now be heard exclusively on Rock 101.
