CISN names new morning show as Chris Scheetz signs off

Edmonton’s CISN Country (CISN-FM) has named a new morning show as longtime morning man Chris Scheetz signed off Friday after more than three decades with the station.

Leaving exactly 35 years to the day he started with CISN in 1989, Scheetz’s final broadcast took place live from Cook County Saloon with special guests that included Dallas Smith, Brett Kissel, Clayton Bellamy, Martin Kerr, and Chad Klinger, in addition to a special appearance by Edmonton Oilers’ anthem singer Robert Clark.

Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi also declared May 10 as “Chris Scheetz Day.”

Starting Monday, May 21, Scheetz’s co-hosts Jacqueline (Jack) Sweeney and Matt DeBeurs will debut new morning show “Jack and Matt.” Sweeney has been with CISN for the last 15 years, while DeBeurs joined the station in 2013 and has been part of the morning show for the past decade.
