Quebecor’s QUB radio introduces customizable morning show

QUB's new customizable morning show Dutrizac sur mesure, hosted by radio veteran Benoit Dutrizac, allows listeners to choose which current events segments, interviews, and newscasts to listen to.

QUB, the digital radio and podcast platform launched by Quebecor last October, is expanding its offerings by introducing a customizable morning show that listeners can build based on personal preferences.

Dutrizac sur mesure, hosted by radio veteran Benoit Dutrizac, will allow listeners to  choose from current events segments, interviews conducted by contributors like Félix Séguin, Caroline St-Hilaire, Mario Dumont, Rémi Nadeau, and Anaïs Guertin-Lacroix, and daily newscasts presented by Alexandre Dubé.

Available on the homepage of the QUB radio app, available at qub.radio or via the Apple Store or Google Play, listeners can click on the customization function, and select and rank the segments they want to include in their playlist.

Mathieu Turbide, Quebecor’s Vice-President of Digital Content, says on-demand content is the future of radio.

“It’s a unique way to consume audio content. Listeners get to choose what they’re interested in, and in what order they’d like to hear it, so they can then access it whenever they want. We’re proud to be ground-breakers in offering this kind of morning show,” said Turbide in a release.

In addition to Dutrizac, the platform features shows from Richard Martineau and Mario Dumont, Geneviève Pettersen, Jonathan Trudeau, Sophie Durocher and Antoine Robitaille, in addition to weekend programming Le Guide de l’auto on Saturday mornings, and Francois-David Bernier’s Avocats à la barre.

QUB is also introducing current events and entertainment quiz show Les Têtes enflées, weekdays from 5 to 6 p.m., hosted by Vincent Dessureault and featuring panelists Richard Martineau, Vanessa Destiné and Master Bougaricci.

Quebecor says several new podcast offerings will also be announced in the coming weeks.
