Pattison Media announces internal promotions

Jasmin Doobay is leaving Pattison Media Prince George for the company's stations in Lethbridge, while Sadie Hesketh will step into Doobay's former role as Program Director at 101.3 The River and 99.3 Rewind Radio.

Pattison Media has announced a series of internal programming promotions, headlined by Jasmin Doobay leaving the company’s stations in Prince George, BC for its operations in Lethbridge, AB.

After 19 years with Pattison in various on–air, news and program director roles in the Okanagan, Doobay joined the team in Prince George in early 2021. Effective June 1, she’ll move into the role of Program Director at Country 95 (CHLB-FM) and B-93 (CJBZ-FM) Lethbridge. Doobay takes over from Tia Daniels, who parted ways with the company in May, after nine years programming both stations.

Sadie Hesketh will step into the role of Program Director at 101.3 The River (CKKN-FM) and 99.3 Rewind Radio (CKDV-FM). Hesketh is currently co-host of the morning show at 89.5 The Drive (CHWK-FM) Chilliwack.

Hesketh, A 20+ year B.C. radio veteran, is a recent graduate of Pattison Media’s first-ever PD Mentor Program, a year-long internal training program designed to assist 15 leaders of tomorrow hone their programming and people skills. Pattison says Hesketh impressed the Senior Programming team with her growth and work ethic and was a natural choice for the opening based on her hard work in the program. She previously helped launch 89.5 The Drive with Kevin Gemmell, who now is GM of Pattison Operations in Prince George.

“Jasmin brings with her a wealth of experience in programming that will benefit the entire team,” said Pattison Media Director of Programming Ross Winters, in a company announcement. “Her energy, enthusiasm, team-first approach and drive will help take us to that next level. She has a great passion for people and the industry. I know that the entire Lethbridge team will embrace her and her vision for both our stations as we move forward.”

“The Prince George Division is sorry to see Jasmin moving on, however the opportunity for Jasmin is a real win for her and her career growth,” added Winters. “To welcome Sadie into the Prince George Division is an opportunity to help a new Radio Program Director hone her craft and help our team of On-Air professionals grow.”

Pattison also recently promoted Corey Fischer as Interim Program Director at Beach Radio (CKQQ-FM) Kelowna and (CJIB-FM) Vernon and 104.7 The Lizard (CKLZ-FM) Kelowna. He takes over from Russell James, who is taking on PD duties at 93.7 JR Country (CJJR-FM) and 102.7 THE PEAK (CJPK-FM) in Vancouver.
