The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) will host a live interoperability demonstration of Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) — a set of open standard-based protocols designed to ensure interoperability for AV-over-IP systems in the media, entertainment, and Pro AV industries — at InfoComm 2023, June 14-16, in Orlando, Florida. AIMS will also be highlighting and discussing the recently released, initial drafts of the Video Services Forum’s(VSF) TR-10 suite of Technical Recommendations for IPMX. IPMX implements a standards-based approach based on SMPTE ST 2110 with capabilities that target the Pro AV industry, including AMWA NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 for discovery, registration, and connection management, as well as specifications for copy protection and security.
Anton/Bauerhas announced the launch of Salt-E Dog, a sodium-based 9kWh mobile power source designed specifically for motion picture and television production. The industry-first power source delivers consistent and reliable energy and addresses the issue of carbon emissions associated with traditional fossil fuel or lithium generators. Utilizing sodium-based power, the Salt-E Dog produces no harmful CO2 or NOx emissions, resulting in cleaner air and a safer production experience, in addition to near-silent operation, eliminating lengthy and hazardous cables and reducing time-consuming ADR work.
