The 2023 Canadian Screen Award winners in the Digital & Immersive categories were announced Thursday afternoon at an event at Meridian Hall in Toronto, hosted by Brandon Gonez.
ET Canada Live picked up a leading three awards, including Best Host, Web Program or Series recognition for Cheryl Hickey, Roz Weston, Sangita Patel, Carlos Bustamante, Keshia Chante, Morgan Hoffman, and Best Live Production, Social Media. Its ET Canada Pride celebration also captured Best Web Program or Series, Non-Fiction.
Winnifred Jong’s comedy web series, Tokens, picked up two awards, including Best Direction for Jong. CBC Gem episodic series, Revenge of the Black Best Friend, created, co-written, and co-produced by Amanda Parris, also earned two wins, one for Best Web Program or Series, Fiction, in addition to a Best Lead Performance honour for Oluniké Adeliyi.
