Google has announced it will phase out 30-second “unskippable” advertisements

ONLINE CHANNELS:

Google has announced it will phase out 30-second “unskippable” advertisements. The ads, which appear at the start of some YouTube videos, must be watched in their entirety before the main video starts playing. Google confirms the ads will disappear as of 2018. The change will be balanced by increased distribution of new 6-, 15- and 20-second ads that will play more often, including as unskippable clips.
