Canadian Screen Award winners named in Children’s & Youth, Lifestyle, Reality

The second round of virtual Canadian Screen Awards presentations were streamed Tuesday evening, recognizing excellence in Children’s and Youth and Lifestyle and Reality programming.

In the Children’s and Youth category, TVOKids and Spin Master led the wins with four for Paw Patrol, including Best Pre-School Program or Series. TVOKids also picked up two awards, with Sinking Ship Entertainment, for Dino Dana with star Saara Chaudry claiming the award for Best Performance.

The Comedy Network’s Corner Gas Animated won three awards, including Best Performance, Animation for Brent Butt; Best Writing Animation; and Best Animated Program or Series. Family Channel’s Holly Hobbie also picked up two awards, including Best Direction for Megan Follows and Best Fiction Series.

Across both of the evening’s categories, Bell Media claimed a leading 16 awards, including six for The Amazing Race Canada which won the Golden Screen Award for Reality Television and a Best Host, Reality/Competion nod for Jon Montgomery. Elsewhere in Lifestyle & Reality, Mary Berg’s Kitchen Crush picked up two awards, including Best Host, Lifestyle for Berg. Evan Solomon was named Best Host, Talk or Entertainment for CTV’s Question Period, while Melissa Grelo picked up Best Host, Web Program or Series for #BellLetsTalkLive.
